A view into our rich musical world

Metamorphoses String Ensemble was founded by musicians of a high international level and brings new life into works not belonging to the traditional form of a chamber music ensemble (piano trio, quartet, duo sonata form ...). Metastrings is a flexible ensemble, both in terms of setting and in terms of repertoire. "Metamorphoses" means "changes of shape" or "change of form", so that in practice Metastrings is a string duo, trio, quintet, sextet, octet, and why not an ensemble for the Metamorphoses by Strauss for 21string players. A modular essence to be able to present the best chapters of the string repertoire at a very high level. The core repertoire is the famous masterpieces by Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak etc. but also a very important ambition is to perform works by composers who have been unjustly forgotten. Metastrings wants to have a direct contact with the audience and offers an oral presentation during performances.
